Abstract

Perairan tawar Sulawesi Selatan memiliki 6 spesies ikan medaka endemik dari genus Oryzias, spesies yang paling terkenal diantara ke-6 spesies tersebut ialah Oryzias celebensis. Ikan medaka endemik Oryzias celebensis dijadikan sebagai komoditi ikan hias. Habitat ikan tersebut di Sungai Pattunuangasue dan Leang-leang. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keseimbangan populasi ikan medaka endemik Oryzias celebensis. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2015 hingga April 2016 di Sungai Pattunuangasue dan Sungai Leang-leang, Kabupaten Maros, Sulawesi Selatan. Rasio kelamin ditentukan berdasarkan frekuensi ikan jantan dan betina yang didapat dari semua sampel yang tertangkap selama penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rasio kelamin ikan medaka endemik Oryzias celebensis di Sungai Pattunuangasue dan Sungai Leang-leang tidak seimbang (tidak mengikuti pola 1:1).
