Pengaruh Jenis Substrat terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Kelangsungan Hidup Glass Eel Anguilla bicolor pacifica

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan tipe substrat yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup glass eel Anguilla bicolor pacifica dalam skala laboratorium. Penelitian didesain dalam rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu perlakuan A (tanpa substrat), B (substrat kerikil), C (substrat pasir), dan D (substrat lumpur),dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak enam kali. Padat tebar glass eel 10 ekor/wadah (10L) dengan waktu pemeliharaan selama enam puluh hari. Selama pemeliharaan ikan diberi pakan cacing Tubifex sebanyak 20% dari biomassanya. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup. Data dianalisis ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan substrat berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap pertumbuhan glass eel. Bobot tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan dengan substrat kerikil yaitu sebesar (14,78 g), dan terendah pada perlakuan tanpa substrat (A) yaitu (7,38 g). Kelangsungan hidup pada perlakuan menggunakan substrat (B, C dan D) sebesar 100%, sedangkan pada perlakuan tanpa substrat (A) sebesar 94%.
